Durning the  summer of 2010 we received an unexpected note from Don.

Don has been a resident at our transition house since August 2009.   The note started,

“I would like to give you this letter to thank you for helping me achieve something in my life that I have tried for years to achieve, and that is to complete my parole.”

Big deal?  It is for Don and we think so too.  Don has been “in the system” since 1959 and 40 years later he is celebrating this significant milestone in his life.

Don wrote.

“It was quite clear to me that this place was unique in its own way and they are behind you 100% in helping me.”
